น่าเป็นห่วงแถวแม่เมาะ พระอาจารย์ ดร.มหาสิงห์ทน ท่านมาเป็นประธานรับผ้าป่าที่ จ.ลำปาง ท่านเตือนว่าหลังวันที่ ๗ เป็นต้นไป ระวังจะเกิแผ่นดิไหวที่บ้านเรา ๗ ริกเตอร์ ไม่ได้ระบุเขตไหน แต่ลำปางไหวถี่มาก น่าจะเตือนอะไรบางอย่าง

The 7.3 magnitude tremor was centred near Lae, the country's second-largest city, at a depth of around 115 km (71 miles) the U.S. Geological Survey said. "It was very, very big," said Dolly Kinibo, a receptionist at the Lae International Hotel. "It lasted for two to three minutes. The whole building moved. The Christmas tree moved, we all moved, people are very shaken. There are no reports of injuries or damage, but our managers are checking." The quake sent goods flying from the shelves of Lae's Foodmart store but caused only minor damage and no injuries. "It wrecked some displays and caused some damage to the ceiling, but touch wood nothing serious," said store manager Albert Martinez. Residents in the capital Port Moresby, 223 km (138 miles) from the epicentre, also reported feeling the quake. PNG, a country where the majority of people live subsistence lives despite its abundant mineral wealth, sits on the geographically active Pacific Ring of Fire.

Major 7.3-magnitude quake strikes Papua New Guinea

PORT MORESBY: A major 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea on Wednesday, shaking buildings and prompting residents to run into the streets and causing panic in the highlands.

The quake, initially rated at 7.3, hit at a depth of 115 kilometres southwest of the coastal city of Lae and 223 kilometres from the capital Port Moresby, the US Geological Survey said.

Macklyn Timbun, who works as a receptionist at the Lae International Hotel, said she was sitting on a bus when the quake hit and it was so large the driver ran away and the vehicle almost rolled in the upheaval.

"I was like 'Oh my god what's happening?' Everybody started running, people were trying to jump out of the windows, it was the biggest earthquake," she told AFP.

"Outside the hotel everyone was running out of the building because most of the time we never experience such earthquakes in Lae."

Geoscience Australia put the quake at a magnitude 7.2 at 0504 GMT, but said it was not expected to create a tsunami because it was not an undersea rupture.

"That's the assessment on the basis that it's about 20 kilometres inshore and also it's about 120 kilometres deep and that's too deep really to cause any tsunami problems," said seismologist Clive Collins.

Papua New Guinea's earthquake observatory said there were no reports yet of damage

but Collins said the tremor could have caused problems for the nearest large town Wau,with a population of about 5000, about 20 kilometres from the epicentre, as well as Lae.

"It's in a mountainous area so there may be issues of landslides and things like that, that's what's the main problem in that particular part of Papua New Guinea," Collins said.

In Wau, a gold mining centre located between Port Moresby and Lae, US missionary Jim Bloom described the quake as "quite a good one".

"The floor started sort of bouncing around a little bit like when a big truck passes nearby, and then the whole building really started shaking and rattling," he said, adding he was not aware of any damage in his area.

"Just a lot of shaking and a lot of noise from the buildings, but we very seldom have damage because most of our buildings are made from timber and steel and so they're very flexible. But the water tanks were sloshing around for about five minutes or six minutes or so afterwards."

Another Lae witness, reached by telephone, said there was no major destruction evident.

"I was standing outside and the buildings shook, the ground shook," he said, adding the quake likely lasted more than a minute.

"We have quakes here regularly but not like this."

Papua New Guinea is regularly rocked by quakes due to its proximity to the so-called "Pacific Ring of Fire", a hotspot for seismic activity due to friction between tectonic plates.

Collins said the impoverished but sparsely populated nation of 6.6 million would likely face aftershocks in the coming hours.

"I'm sure there will be aftershocks with something that big, whether they will be significant or not... it's unknown really," he said.

คนเหนือโบราณ พูดไว้ว่า "น้ำปิง จะกลายเป็นสันดอย"

คาดว่า หมายถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางกายภาพครั้งใหญ่ ใน จ. เชียงใหม่ (จะเมื่อไหร่ ไม่รู้)

สาเหตุอาจจะเกิดขึ้นจาก มีแผ่นดินไหวรุนแรง ระดับใกล้เคียงกับ ที่ทำให้เมืองโยนก (อยู่ในเชียงราย ปัจจุบัน) พังทลายกลายเป็นทะเลสาบขนาดใหญ่ (เวียงหนองล่ม)

ซึ่งพอความรู้สมัยใหม่เจริญ ทางธรณีวิทยา ก็เจอจริงๆ ว่า ทางเหนือของไทย ไล่มาตั้งแต่แม่ฮ่องสอน ยันอุตรดิตถ์ มีรอยเลื่อนแผ่นดินไหว ที่ยังขยับขับเคลื่อนอยู่ และมีมากกว่าภาคอื่นจริง

หลายจังหวัด ที่อยู่ในเขตรอยเลื่อนพวกนี้ มีบ่อน้ำร้อนใต้ดิน รึไม่ก็มีน้ำพุร้อน แสดงถึงพลังงานความร้อนใต้พิภพ ที่ยังทำงานอยู่

รอยพวกนี้ มันมาจากจีน แผ่มาที่พม่า แล้วลามมาถึงไทย

เมื่อตรวจทบทวนสถิติการเกิดแผ่นดินไหวในระดับต่างๆกันในโซนเอเซีย ตั้งแต่ในประเทศจีนที่ละติจูด 35 องศาเรื่อยลงมาจนถึงนิวซีแลนด์ ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ริมแผ่น อินโด-ออสเตรเลีย และเมื่อกลับไปดูแผนภูมิการทรุดตัวของเปลือกโลกแผ่นต่างๆในย่านนี้ (มีรายละเอียดที่ลิงค์นี้)

จะพบว่าการทรุดตัวของปลายสุดของประเทศอินโดนีเซียกำลังเพิ่มขึ้นตลอดเวลา ส่วนปลายแผ่น อินโด-ออสเตรเลีบ ก็ยกตัวทางด้านทิศตะวันออกเพิ่มขึ้น นำน้ำทะเลเข้ามาท่วมรัฐควีนแลนด์ ดูรายละเอียดที่ลิงค์นี้

เมื่อปลายแผ่น Sunda Plate ทรุดตัวลงอย่างต่อเนื่อง พื้นที่ประเทศไทย พม่าและลาว จีนใต้เส้นละติจูด 35 องศาลงมา โก่งตัวเพิ่มมากขึ้น ชั้นหินข้างใต้แตกหักเพิ่มขึ้นโดยลำดับ ที่แสดงออกด้วยแผ่นดินไหวขนาดต่างๆ ทั้งน้อยๆและระดับกลาง

การทรุดตัวที่ปลายล่างสุดของประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ที่ค่อยๆเพิ่มขึ้นมีน้ำทะเลท่วมพื้นที่ถาวรของอินโดฯมากขึ้น รวมทั้งประเทศอื่นเช่นมาเลเซีย สิงค์โปร์ ไทย เวียตนาม และพม่า ประชาชนส่วนใหญ่ยังไม่รู้ถึงภัยพิบัติน้ำทะเลท่วมอย่างกระทันหันที่จะตามมาภายหน้า เมื่อพื้นที่ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ซึ่งตั้งอยู่บนแผ่น Sunda Plate เกิดจมลงกระทันหัน 80 ฟุต ที่ปลายสุดประเทศติดต่อกับออสเตรเลีย เมื่อแผ่น Sunda Plate ถูกแผ่น อินโด-ออสเตรเลีย เคลื่อนตัวมาทางทิศตะวันออกอย่างกระทันหัน หลังจากได้รับอิทธิพลแผ่นดินไหวรุนแรงหลายระลอกจากญี่ปุ่นในอนาคต

เมื่ออินโดฯจมลงโดยทันที พื้นที่เสี่ยงต่างๆในประเทศไทย ก็จะได้รับอันตรายจากน้ำทะเลท่วมตามหลังมาโดยฉับพลันเช่นกัน และพื้นที่ กท.และที่ลุ่มเจ้าพระยาจะถูกแนวเขาทั้งสองด้านกดให้ทรุดตัวลงอย่างกระทันหัน

ผู้ที่อยู่ในพื้นที่เสี่ยง ลองค่อยๆศึกษารายละเอียดที่กล่าวไว้ให้เข้าใจพฤติกรรม ของแผ่นเปลือกโลกแผ่นต่างๆที่กำลังมีบทบาทเคลื่อนตัวอย่างเป็นขบวนการร่วมกัน
ปัจจุบันแผ่นดินค่อยๆทรุดตัว น้ำทะเลค่อยๆกินแดนเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อยๆ คนส่วนใหญ่ที่ยังไม่ประสบกับน้ำท่วมจะยังไม่ไหวตัวเคลื่อนย้าย แต่เมื่ออินโดนีเซีย ทรุดตัวกระทันหันหรือ suddenly นั้น ผู้ที่อาศัยในพื้นที่เสี่ยงของ อินโดฯ มาเลย์ สิงคโปร์ ไทย เวียตนาม ฟิลิบปินส์ กวม และเกาะมาเรียน่า รอบเกาะบอร์เนียว พม่าตอนใต้ จะถูกน้ำทะเลท่วมโดยทันทีอย่างเงียบๆไล่หลังอินโดฯที่จมลงไปเต็มพิกัด 80 ฟุต

หากผู้ที่อยู่ในพื้นที่เสี่ยงต่างๆไม่ได้ติดตามพฤติกรรมของแผ่นดินไหวในโซนนี้ และนำมาร้อยเรียงให้เห็นภาพรวมของแผ่นเปลือกโลกแผ่นต่างๆ ว่ากำลังบอกผลอะไรในจุดต่างๆ ซึ่งจะสะสมความเสียหายในระดับช๊อคโลกให้เกิดขึ้นในวันข้างหน้าแก่พื้นที่โซนเอเซียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ บนแหลมอินโดจีนร่วมกัน

ส่วนแผ่นดินไหวในโซนอื่นๆของโลก ที่ไม่ได้พูดถึงก็จะบ่งบอกอาการของแผ่นเปลือกโลกในส่วนนั้นๆเช่นเดียวกันที่แตกต่างกันออกไป แต่ขอเน้นที่โซนเอเซียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ซึ่งอยู่ใกล้ตัวเราก่อน และกำลังคืบหน้าเข้าใกล้วันเป็นข่าวช๊อคโลกเข้าไปทุกที
