MAGNIFICENT ERUPTION: A filament of magnetism curling around the sun's southeastern limb erupted on August 31st, producing a coronal mass ejection (CME), a C8-class solar flare, and one of the most beautiful movies ever recorded by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory:

The explosion hurled a CME away from the sun traveling faster than 500 km/s (1.1 million mph). The cloud, shown here, is not heading directly toward Earth, but it will deliver a glancing blow to our planet's magnetic field. NOAA forecasters estimate a 40% chance of strong polar geomagnetic storms when the cloud arrives on Sept. 3rd.

CME มาถึงโลกเรียบร้อยแล้ว อย่างแรงจริง :boo:

พอดีผมเป็นแฟนเพจ อาจารย์ก้องภพ อยู่เย็นนะครับ เลยขออนุญาตท่านอาจารย์ Faikman ขอเอาบทความของอาจารย์ ก้องภพ มาเผยแพร่ต่อครับ เผื่อจะมีอะไรเพิ่มเติม(นิดหน่อยอ่ะครับทุกท่าน)
วันที่ 31 สิงหาคม เวลาประมาณ 20 UT เกิดพายุสุริยะขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในรอบหลายเดือน ส่งพลังงานออกมารอบทิศทาง ซึ่งโลกจะได้รับผลกระทบจากพลังงานในครั้งนี้ จากโมเดลจำลองการแพรกระจายของอนุภาคพบว่าพลังงานไฟฟ้านี้จะเดินทางมาถึงโลกประมาณวันที่ 2 กันยายน เวลาประมาณ 0 UT +/- 7 ชั่วโมง ( หรือเวลา 7 น. ในเวลาประเทศไทย ) นอกจากนั้นยังพบว่ามีการขยายตัวของจุดดับอย่างต่อเนื่องจากวันที่ 30 สิงหาคม ที่ผ่านมา

ดังนั้นผู้ทีสนใจในเรื่องของการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางธรรมชาติของโลก หรือเตรียมพร้อมรับมือสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉินโปรดติดตามเฝ้าระวังสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิดตั้งแต่วันนี้ถึงวันที่ 4 กันยายนครับ

A shock was observed in the solar wind around 11:20 UT, probably
related to the filament eruption that occurred on August 31. The solar
wind speed jumped from 300 km/s to 450 km/s. The southward component of
the interplanetary magnetic field (Bz) reached a value 0f -20 nT for a
short period. Its current value lies around 10 nT. We expect active
geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours (Kp > 4).

Shock ได้ตรวจจับเจอในพายุสุริยะประมาณ 11.20 UT (18.20 เวลาไทย) อาจจะเป็นเพราะ การระเบิดของ filament ที่เกิดขึ้นในวันที่ 31 สิงหาคม พายุสุริยะความเร็วจาก 300 กม/วินาที ถึง 450 กม/วินาที Bz มีค่าถึง -20 nT ไปชั่วครู่ และค่าปกติจะอยู่ที่ประมาณ 10nT. พวกเราคาดว่าจะเกิดพายุแม่เหล็กโลกแปรปรวนซึ่ง kp>4

..."วันที่ 31 สิงหาคม เกิดพายุสุริยะระดับรุนแรงที่สุดในรอบปีนี้ ทิศทางรอบด้าน ส่งพลังงานบางส่วนมาในแนวเดียวกับโลกซึ่งคาดว่าโลกจะได้รับผลกระทบหลายรูปแบบ ซึ่งมีโอกาสสูงที่จะอยู่ในระดับรุนแรงระหว่างวันที่ 1-4 กันยายน ดังนั้นผู้ทำงานรับมือสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน และการเตือนภัยโปรดติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิด พี้นที่เสี่ยงภัยมากเป็นพิเศษได้แก่ประเทศในแนวมหาสมุทรอินเดีย มหาสมุทรแปซิฟิกด้านฝั่งเอเซียแนว ring of fire โดยเฉพาะทางใต้ รองลงมาคือบริเวณอเมริกากลาง-ใต้ ส่วนผู้ที่อาศัยในบริเวณอื่นๆก็โปรดติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ขิดเช่นกัน

update1 : จากโมเคลพบว่าพลังงานดังกล่าวจะเดินทางมาถึงโลกในวันที่ 2 กันยายน เวลา 0 UTC +/- 7 ชั่วโมง
update2 : จากโมเดลในเวป noaa คาดการณ์ว่า CME จะเดินทางมาถึงโลกวันที่ 3 กันยายน เวลาประมาณ 16 UTC " (เวลาไทยก็ 23.00น.)

คงแค่นี้แหล่ะครับ แต่นักพยากรณ์มักนำไปผูกกับวงโครจรของดวงดาวใกล้โลก เพื่อคาดการณ์การเกิดภัยธรรมชาติเช่น แผ่นดินไหว ภูเขาไฟระเบิด พายุใหญ่ๆ รวมถึงพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์ด้วย โดยสามารถทำนายล่วงหน้า3-4วันข้างหน้าได้ ซึ่งถ้าใช้ดวงดาวอย่างเดียวจะทำนายล่วงหน้าได้หลายปี แต่ไม่แม่นเท่า เขาว่าอย่างงั้น (จริงๆผมว่าเอง)

สำหรับผมแค่ฝึกไว้ในกรณีหากเกิด Super Solar Storm ที่มีทิศทางมายังโลกเท่านั้น จะได้คุ้นเคยและรู้ทัน ส่วนการเอาตัวรอดคงยากหน่อย ต้องอาศัยชั้นบรรยากาศโลกช่วย ซึ่งนับวันชั้นโอโซนได้ถูกทำลายลงเรื่อยๆ ความสามารถในการต้านทานลมพายุสุริยะก็น้อยลงทุก 11 ปีๆ

พายุสุริยะมันมาพร้อมสนามแม่เหล็กพลังสูงจนอาจทำให้วงจรไฟฟ้าทำงานผิดพลาดถึงพังได้ และมีหลากหลายรังสี โดยเฉพาะรังสี cosmic ที่มีอำนาจทะลุทะลวงได้ดี และก่อให้เกิดคลื่นรบกวนในสมองทำให้สิ่งมีชีวิตคิดตัดสินใจอะไรลงไปหุนหันพลันแล่นได้ โดยเฉพาะท่านผู้นำประเทศต่างๆ จนถึงกลายพันธุ์หรือสูญพันธุ์กันได้เลยทีเดียว (อาจเวอร์ไปนิด แต่แนวโน้วมันก็เป็นไปได้ ขึ้นกับความรุนแรงและระยะเวลา)

SUBSIDING STORM: A geomagnetic storm that began on Sept. 3rd when a coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth's magnetic field is subsiding now. The impact at 1200 UT induced significant ground currents in the soil of northern Scandinavia and sparked bright auroras around the Arctic Circle. Jonathan Tucker photographed the display over Whitehorse in the Yukon Territories of Canada:

"I'm glad Its getting dark again in the land of the midnight sun," says Tucker. "These were my first auroras of the year here in the Yukon."

NEAR-EARTH ASTEROID: A relatively large asteroid, just discovered on August 28th, will fly past the Earth-Moon system on Sept 14th only 2.8 million km (7.4 lunar distances) away. 2012 QG42 is about as wide as three football fields and comes to us from just beyond the orbit of Mars. Astronomers who are now monitoring the space rock say it shines about as brightly as a 15th magnitude star. [3D orbit] [ephemeris]
